5S Advisory has evolved from Talent Journey. What began as a specialist talent practice is now a multi-disciplinary advisory supporting people, change, finance and technology.
Our founder
Steve Chan
5S Advisory was founded by Steve Chan, an industry leader with decades of experience shaping workforce strategy, managing change, and building talent acquisition and HR capability across complex organisations.
Steve’s philosophy is simple: Businesses shouldn’t rely solely on external recruitment or fragmented service providers. They should be empowered to build capability from within. That means strengthening how organisations hire, grow, lead, adapt, and operate.
With his warm, practical style, Steve makes complex HR concepts, digital technologies, and change initiatives feel clear, actionable, and achievable, enabling leaders to build confident teams and future-fit operating models.
In 2023, Steve was recognised as a finalist for Corporate Talent Leader of the Year and nominated for the APOC Corporate Legend of the Year Award, reflecting his impact on people, business performance, and organisational capability.
